About

Cork City Judo: Inclusive Martial Arts in Cork City
Welcome to Cork City Judo Club, the home of inclusive Judo in Cork City. Practice the exciting Olympic sport of Judo in our welcoming, all-inclusive dojo.

Why Choose Cork City Judo?
Judo, which literally means “the gentle way,” is a dynamic martial art focused on self-defence, using throws, pins, and holds to maximise efficiency with minimal effort. More than just a combat sport, it offers boundless opportunities for:

Self-Confidence & Mental Fitness
Physical Health & Overall Well-being
Crucially, our club’s environment is built on the principle of inclusion. Our instructors pride themselves on welcoming and training people of all skill levels and backgrounds in a safe, relaxed, and fun environment.

Classes and Accessibility
We offer classes two evenings per week for children (from 6 years old) and adults.

Don’t worry about your fitness level—you'll start learning right away, mastering a throw, a hold-down, and how to breakfall correctly in your very first lesson.

Dojo Location: We are conveniently located in the sportshall at Coláiste Chríoist Rí, Capwell Road, Cork City. Our facility is easily accessible, located on main bus routes, and features ample parking, plus male and female changing rooms.

Community & Advocacy
We are committed to promoting health and inclusion within the judo community and beyond. We proudly collaborate with the Irish Judo Association and Cork Sports Partnership on important initiatives, including campaigns to increase the visibility of 'Women in Sport' at all levels of Judo.

Ready to follow your passion or try something new? Don't wait—get in touch with us today! As Judo’s founder, Jigoro Kano, said: "It is not important to be better than someone else, but to be better than you were yesterday."
